A deadly shrine used by a group of fraudsters to swindle innocent victims of their hard earned money has been recovered in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, following the arrest of the eight suspects, among them a 72-year old man.

The suspects paraded themselves as traditional doctors to their victims, and make them believe they have spiritual powers that can solve any of their problems.

Thereafter they would direct their victims to their shrine with assurance they would give them solutions to their problem, only to defraud them. The suspects are:
Abiodun Bamgbopa, 72;
Olashile Raheem, 35;
Nureni Raheem, 32;
Raphael Joseph, 24;
Ganiu Olawale, 24;
Adenubi Samiu, 25;
Mustapha Lukman, 39, and
Raimi Ramoni, 42.

The confessed that the current hardship in the country led them into starting up the already booming business and that they capitalise on the gullibility of their victims to defraud them.
