President Bola Tinubu has immediately suspended Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
The President has instructed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to thoroughly investigate all financial transactions related to the ministry and its associated agencies.
Notably, the EFCC is now probing two ministers who served under the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development simultaneously. The suspended minister, Betta Edu, has been invited to the EFCC headquarters in Jabi, FCT.
