Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has indefinitely suspended the traditional ruler of Neni, Igwe Damian Ezeani, in the Anaocha local government area.
This decision stems from the monarch granting a chieftaincy title to APC leader Senator Ifeanyi Ubah without proper permission, as stated by the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy matters, Hon. Collins Nwabunwanne.
Soludo's concern reportedly lies in the violation of the Code of Conduct and the absence of ministry clearance for the conferred title, leading to the suspension under the Anambra State Traditional Rulers (Amendment) Law, 2020, Section 2 (C).
