The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has mandated the arrest of two officers involved in the alleged assault of a female staff member at Regional Hotel in Ojo, Lagos.
A viral video showed the officers manhandling the hotel staff during an early morning sting operation in Lagos, which resulted in the apprehension of several suspects who are currently being profiled.
Mr. Olukoyede has also ordered a thorough investigation into the operation and has assured that appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken against any officers found guilty of misconduct.
He reaffirmed the EFCC's commitment to conducting its duties professionally and with utmost respect for the rule of law.
