President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Olatunji Bello as the new Chief Executive Officer/Executive Vice-Chairman of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), pending Senate confirmation.
Tunji Bello, the new CEO/EVC of the FCCPC, has the following educational background and experience:
- BSc in Political Science from the University of Ibadan, 1984
- Master's degree in International Law and Diplomacy (ML.D) from the University of Lagos, 1987
- Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Lagos, 2000
He has served as Commissioner for Environment (2003-2007, 2011-2015, 2019-2023) and as Secretary to the State Government (2015-2019).
